1599 named finalist at the Scottish Event Awards

1599 is proud to have been named a finalist in the Best Sustainable Event category at the E Awards, recognising our ongoing commitment to creating more sustainable events at 1599 at the Royal College.

The Scottish Event Awards celebrate the people, venues and organisations shaping Scotland’s events industry, highlighting good practice and innovation across the sector.

While it wasn’t our night to take home the top prize, being shortlisted among such strong and inspiring entries is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the ongoing commitment to sustainability across the venue.

Sustainability is an important focus for 1599. Work is ongoing to reduce environmental impact across operations, including menu planning, reducing waste and improving efficiency in how the venue is run while continuing to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients and their guests. This recognition reflects a collective effort across the venue. Front of House, kitchen, facilities and event delivery teams working together to embed more sustainable practices into everything we do.
